Rally drivers are a plucky bunch but there are times when you have to gracefully admit defeat. One such occasion may be when the car breaks and it stop moving. But whereas us mere mortals might call it a day when a throttle cable snaps, French rally drivers call it an opportunity for a spot of heroics.

pretty cool deal.... Judging by his driving skills they wouldnt have won anyways though so they should have just stopped :lol:

You guys act like its easy to go fast while being inside the engine compartment and pulling on the cable. Hell, its hard for some to left foot brake without the car doing a nose dive

i ment b4 the cable broke..!! after that i was laughing to hard to notice how they were driving !!!!
but yes i could pry drive better then that dude!! just give me a 2dr '92 cavi with the Ebrake teeth taken off!!

These cars run on a engine restrictons and all the power is probably on the top end and shifting before a turn vs holding the redline can mean the difference in 1st and not

nah even on the first turn he said there and bounced it off the rev limiter several times before he shifted. THEN went into the turn. . . I have watched tons of these videos and i never see someone bounce the rev limiter constantly like that.
