Just wanted to say thanks to everyone that has joined and made this place have a great start. Since the day it launched, we have had a couple members join just about everyday. I know we are no AF, AZ, or Vortex with thousands of members, but i think those that are here now are building a great base of information and making it a much more pleasent place to check in and share.

I think since there is some interest and Adam aka HowdyTT is ready to make decals, we may get them up and printed. I have a brother-in-law that can also make them if need be so people that want can show there audifreaks pride.

So lets keep the information flowing and bringing in more blood and see where this place goes.

Mad props to Cincy for taking the intiative to create his own site and keep it up and running. I'm totally down for a decal as my TT is pretty naked right now :)

It is nice to have an environment without all the arguments that occur elsewhere. This forum does seem to lack the douche-factor and I have to admit I like not seeing the usual online 16-year-olds bragging about their 500whp setup using a stock turbo system and an AFC for tuning (saw it in the past). We have the chance to build a more tech-oriented resource here since Freaks is new. If we keep the banter in the Hangout and the forum topics where they belong, this site could surpass the others as THE site to visit when you need to know what the hell to do with your ride.

Yea, my first forum ever was AF when i first got my TT and i felt like the odd one out all the time. When i joined here, it felt like more of a family style where everyone knows everybody, and the info is great.

Yea, AF used to be THE place to go, but that was way back when (say, 2003?), and Schwing ruled the TT roost. I think people realized that there are forums w/o so much follow-the-leader going on, and the format sucked/sucks. It was also a totally different crowd, when the TT was new only old guys/richer folk could afford it, so there is no way a thread like, oh, JB WELD YO's trashed thread could have even existed...it would have been blackholed and he would have been banned in the time it took an AF member to apply BenGay :lol:

The other thing I didn't like about AF was how many dudes just joined randomly to ask what color neons would look cool, or what kind of fart can would fit best on the A4 their parents bought them, and then have nothing productive to contribute to the rest of the community. I know I'm still a newb relative to a lot of the guys on here and AF both, but is it really that hard to use the "search" function?
