I love Al's vids. He is so hilarious for such a smart tuner. Just sucks once you go so fast you pretty much cant race anymore w/o this or that. But he knew that coming in.

Yes. Below 14sec you need a helmet, then the times im not sure about, but next you need a fire jacket, then a fire suit and obviously at 11.49 you need to have a roll cage.

I know at certian levels its all about how many ply your suit/jacket is.

Its funny because he is a HUGE evo tuner. He is like uni/tapp where you can send in your ecu for a basic flash or come in for a custom tune. Also because when it comes to power, Evos blow STi's away. The boxer setup doesnt do big power as well

my bro ran several passes in the low 13s and high 12s two weeks ago and didnt get kicked off for no helmet. Maybe it just depends on the track? His friend was running 10s but he has a full cage and had a helmet and stuff.

i would have to say it depends on the track. A better track would probably enforce the helmet rule at a min. Not sure how much the fire gear is enforced. Think if you come in there with street tires, you may get away with a bit more than full blown slicks

I've only ever heard of enforcing the <12s requires a roll cage rule, don't know about the other stuff.

the track i ran at called coastal plains raceway near jacksonville nc, all you needed was a helmet, there was camaro's and other dd cars running low 11's and they didn't have roll cages...
my buddies tsi ran a 9.76 on his first pass then went home lol. not sure if he had a roll cage. was good shit.
problem is the track is shit
