AMSOIL Ea Air Filters represent a major breakthrough in filtration technology. The revolutionary nanofiber technology used in AMSOIL Ea Filters captures more dirt, holds more dirt and allows better air flow than conventional air filters. AMSOIL Ea Filters improve engine performance and help engines last longer.

AMSOIL Ea Air Filters are the most efficient filters available to the car/light truck market. Ea Air Filters’ synthetic nanofiber media removes 5 times more dust than traditional cellulose filter media alone and 50 times more dust than wet gauze filter media. AMSOIL Ea Air Filters have a service life of 100,000 miles or four years, whichever comes first.

Better Air Flow
AMSOIL Ea Air Filters allow more airflow than filters that use cellulose media alone. Cellulose fibers are larger than nanofibers, and have larger spaces between the fibers, causing contaminants to load in the depth of the media and plug the airflow path, which results in higher restriction and less capacity. The synthetic nanofibers in EaA Filter media have submicron diameters and small interfiber spaces, which result in more contaminants being captured on the surface of the media and lower restriction.

More Capacity
AMSOIL Ea Air Filters hold up to two and a half times more contaminants than cellulose air filters. Since the nanofibers in the media are so small there are more pores per square inch, allowing for higher dirt-holding capacity and lower pressure drop when compared to cellulose filter media alone. Thinner media fibers produce more uniform pore size distribution, improving the filter’s overall quality and ability to capture and retain particles. Testing shows that Ea Air Filters hold 15 times more contaminants than a wet gauze type filter.

AMSOIL EaAU
AMSOIL Ea Air Induction Filters fit most of the popular intake systems available. They provide improved cold air intake and a level of engine protection only an Ea Filter can provide. AMSOIL is currently offering nine Ea Air Induction Filters with varying lengths and widths. These filters have flange IDs of 3", 3.5", 4", 4.125”, 4.5” and 6". Since these filters offer a universal fit, AMSOIL provides the dimension sheet below that customers can use to determine the proper filter for their applications.

Cleanable
AMSOIL Ea Air Induction Filters are cleanable and long lasting. AMSOIL recommends cleaning the Ea Air Induction Filter when designated by the restriction gauge if the vehicle is so equipped, or according to operating conditions. If it is used in extremely dusty environments or in a performance vehicle, more frequent cleanings may be required.

Unique Design
To increase filter surface area and the volume of air entering the engine, the top of many popular Ea Air Induction Filters (EaAU) is cut away. The media is inserted in a conical form pointing toward the direction of airflow.

Quality Construction
AMSOIL Ea Air Induction Filters are made from the same high-quality nanofiber media found in other AMSOIL Ea Air Filters. The nanofiber media is pleated with epoxy-coated wire on the face and back of the media for additional strength and stiffness. High quality, pliable urethane connectors with plastisol potting complete the product. Each Ea Air Induction Filter comes with a clamp for convenient installation.

i have a huge k&n and aem filter (aem has about 10k on it and the k&n has like 2k on it)
i really didn't like either, the aem is kinda flimsy feeling and the k&n is all oily.

what kinda deals are there?

is it possible to change the colors of these filters? i'm kinda picky and not a fan of light blue :(

Arttur

To be frank I'm no fan of light blue too , but it is better than my ( ex) wite AEM ;)
Unfortunately blue is only color available in the end it is all about performance .

Talking about deals , I offer free shiping on any AMSOIL Ea Cone Filter or Ea Panel Filter .

Take a look - blue on black ;)

what would happen if i just so "happen" to wash one with black dye?

... oops dropped a bottle of black dye in with the filter i was washing, oh darn!

I have no idea ;) but if you really can't take that color i will call Amsoil tech and ask them
I have EaAU6080 - Flange ID 6", Media Height 8" , if you want 3" Flange ID then you may need :
EaAU3090 - Flange ID 3" , Media Height 9"
EaAU3051 - Flange ID 3", Media Height 5"
EaAU3050 - Flange ID 3", Media Height 5" but shape closer to cylinder than cone

Or if you use some 1/4'' ruber spacer between filter flange and MAF you can use also :

EaAU3560 - Flange ID 3.5", Media Height 6"
EaAU3570 - Flange ID 3.5", Media Height 7"

Geting back to filters, 9'' is nice size but those filters are most expensive and you don't need that big filter w/ stock turbo .

EaAU3570 - Flange ID 3.5", Media Height 7" is nice size and price , but it is up to you :thumbup1:
