Post up pics of your TT carrying abnormally large stuff or large amounts of stuff:cool:

To bad i dont have my moving pics still. Large 32" tube TV, full cookware set (pots, pans, fryer, knives, etc), jack stands, pillows, tool case, and a shit load of clothes and shoes. Car was so heavy that the springs creaked when i moved.

BTW, that was all in the hatch and the ex and i were up front comfortably. Still managed 33mpg with over 100mi of back road driving.

Don't know never metered. I really don't care what a little black box tells me as long as it sounds good and is loud to me. notice it still has the 30 day temp tags lol. i think it was the 4th day i owned that car that we built that.

Irish*TT*
02-10-2009, 10:36 PM
Haha! Didn't see the tags! That's definitely not a throw together box. Looks rather complex. Nice work. Did you build it in the car?? (You pry told me b4. Don't remember)

AdamN
02-10-2009, 10:39 PM
Naa actually it was thrown together just to see how well the car works for stereo. it was built out of the car then hoisted in by me and 2 friends. probably weighed 150+ lbs.

Irish*TT*
02-10-2009, 10:51 PM
Dang. Well you'll pry have to build a box for my W7!!!

Murderface

Should have tuned it 1Hz higher, it'd get more ladies than it does already.

AdamN
02-11-2009, 07:39 AM
Lol! I know exactly where you are going with that! However generally speaking, without taking resonant frequencies of the car and whatnot, a box peaks about 7-9hz above tuning. And there is no way I am tuning that low in a car!

These are probably the biggest things I've fit in this car... JBL S412PII's

http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m96/lmaoxfilip/0927091756.jpg

They're ~4 feet tall, 15" wide, 16" deep and weigh 110 lbs each. Bigass speakers! Can't wait to get them hooked up. Each one has a built in powered sub...12"/200W RMS.

Dust cover on one cone is dented but that's getting taken care of...

dammmn, you're a sound guy huh? those a freakin ridiculous. I think the largest thing i've put in my car,,at least that I can remember, was the my vortex skirts when they were in the box....but the most cramped i've ever been was my ex came back from france and I picked her up. She filled the trunk with luggage, and even had a full size bag on her lap and under he legs. And her lap bag was on my side of the car too....
not very interesting....oh and she had Double D's too...so it was quite cramped in the car

I need to still unload the set of steelies that consumed my car. 3 in the back and one riding shotgun...

Can't count how many times I've done that with wheels :p

oh and she had Double D's too...so it was quite cramped in the car

By the way I'm working on assembling a studio, that's what those speakers are for. Funny story about them...I was driving through NYC with these on the way home I'm stopped at a stop light...this busdriver yells at me I'm like oh no am I in his way or some shit?

Driver: Hey! You got enough speakers in that car?

The way I had them arranged it looked like I had 8 speakers in a box in my trunk

Me: They're actually -
Driver: Are those LMs?
Friend in passenger's seat: No they're JBLs! (doesn't realize he means my wheels) :p
Me: No they're reps!
Driver: Get the fuck out, no way!
Me: Yeah they are!
Driver: Whoah...I want some for my Evo...whered you get them/how much?

I told him. So now some busdriver from Manhattan is probably ordering LM reps because I randomly pulled up and he started taling to me :p

damn...i you know i was on the S2Ki forum and some punks were talkin shit on the TT with all kinds of crazy myths...

One guy said that if u ever get a flat, you can't fit the wheel in the trunk.

I sooooo wanted to post up that pic of some TT with all 4 wheels in the trunk! Prelude wheels will do i guess.

Being that I have a roadster, the only I can fit in the trunk is a dead hooker

Dang. Well you'll pry have to build a box for my W7!!!

Hmm... I think my W7 pics are still on AF.
I had two W7 12's in my TT a few years back in a ported box tuned to 33Hz...
1400w PG Xenon on the box (Phoenix Gold was for the Subs)... and two Zapco Ref 350.2's to power the Focal Utopias up front & CDT Eurosports in rear... it was a TON of equipment... and it was ALL where the backseat used to be... I didn't use ANY of the hatch/trunk

But the 12" W-7's were wayyyy too much sub for that car..

fyi... Xenon's are variable impedance amps. 1400w @ 4ohm, 1400w @ 2ohm, and 1400w @ 1ohm... mine were at 1400w @ 1.5ohm (stupid JL 3ohm speakers!)

Took me a while, but I finally found some pictures on AF from 2005 of my subwoofer setup

JL Audio 12w7's

Phoenix Gold Xenon 1400.1 Variable Impedance Amp for the JL Subwoofers

Picture of all three Amps behind the Front seats (PG Xenon 1400.1 for the subs, Fiber Optic fed Zapco Reference 350.2 on Left for Focal Utopia 6½" Components up Front, Fiber Optic fed Zapco Reference 350.2 on Right for CDT Audio EuroSport 6½" ES-06+ Midbass in the Rear)
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y139/stopcrowdingme/Subs/IMG_0682.jpg

Picture of the CDT's (some folks don't know what they are.)
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y139/stopcrowdingme/CDTs.jpg

This is a picture of UNDER the subwoofer box before the box was built (before I decided to put the Zapco amps on the Outside of the box, I couldn't manage a good enough door to adjust Amp controls if they were under the box) FYI, the two boxes on the right, are the Main Computer for the Alpine IVA D-310 DVD Head Unit... and the Sound Processor (Far Right)
