I just saw an ad on TV for some dealership in Elmira, NY offering deep discounts on various American cars. The one I couldn't believe was Dodge Durangos for $35,999 - which according to them is a $9000 discount!! How the hell is a Durango normally a $45,000 vehicle? WTF is Dodge thinking, pricing that thing that high? It's not like it's anything special despite what they think, and certainly not worth that. For $45k, you can get an Audi, M-B, or BMW SUV. Yeah, I know all about how the Durango is more of a worker than the German utes, but come on. No wonder they're swirling around the bowl...

They planned poorly and got left in the import dust YET AGAIN. They need to stay with treads as the go, not join in after they are in full effect (hybrids and gas consumption).

i think those new durangos are so ugly, thats just my opinion though. dodge really doesn't have anything going for them besides their trucks and the srt-8 charger is pretty cool.

I think in part they're of the opinion that if they price it in that range, then that makes it an equal for other vehicles in that range. I agree with everything you guys stated above as well. It's sad because they just don't get it and either they'll die because of it or they'll continue to turn out crap because we as taxpayers are forced to pay for their right to continue to do so (bailouts, etc).

I also heard that after GM went threw all that sh*t and the bail out and now still in the sh*tter go on and give there big wigs raises!! Now WTF....
There's a lot of other companies that got bail outs and gave raises/ bought plans/ vacations... What the hell.
I know you need to do the best for your employees.. But come on...

I heard somewhere that a few Chrysler dealerships were giving away cars for free. If you bought one at regular price you could get a second car for only the cost of tax, title and license...

I heard about that too. I saw ads for a few GM dealers in the NYC area that were doing that - buy a full-size SUV and they'd throw in a Cobalt. Crazy that it came to that. Wouldn't it be nice if Audi would give you an A3 when you bought an A6? :)

A few months back, a Pensicola dealership was to that WITH NISSANS!!! You buy the full size Titon or w/o the full size suv is and you got a Sentra for free

If it gets too much worse, maybe the GM guys will give you the full-size SUV when you buy the Cobalt...
