need a lil help getting this thing started, and seems like the guys on motorgeek and my local forum are busy. http://www.motorgeek.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=34988&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0
so...
things i need answered before i go at it tomorrow please
1) the cylinders are ordered from front to back correct?
2) at tdc, the dizzy rotor should be on cyl #1 correct?
3) the rotor then turns clockwise to hit terminals # 2,4,5,3,1,2,4,5,3..... and so on?
4) when at dtc the #1 cylinder should be at the highest point correct? (closest to the front)
5) in what position is the dot on the inside of the camgear?
A) in line with the drivers side of the corner on the vc as it says in **
B) in line with the arrow on the rounded portion of the vc like others have said. (issue with this is that the front most cyl#1 is not at the top of it's rotation here which doesn't make sense)
** "Now, double check that the Camshaft timing is also correct, there is a dot or line mark which is on the back of the cam gear, this dot or line mark should be lined up with the drivers side (US Vehicles) edge of the cylinder head valve cover gasket surface. "
i believe if these are answered in the morning i can eliminate the timing issue and have the car running... or at least eliminate that it's the timing.
reference to this.
