ok, so i looked at a few threads on how to delete the n249 and n112...

cincy, seeing you kinda know what andrew did can you help me out? he said he took both the n249 and n112 out... i have a stock airbox... and i think i can borrow the n249 and n112 off my buddies TT...

point me in direction of re-installation?

we cleared just the intake cel, i'm going to the shop to see if the computer will outsmart me. if it does this is my last option.

I take it your goal is to get rid of the CELs, not reinstall that stuff for the sake of having it there? The arrangement of all that stuff is pretty different depending on what engine code you have. Between my ATC and AWP motor it was a bit different and then the 225 motor I worked on was COMPLETELY different. So you'll have to make sure the stuff swaps out first.

BTW, if he used proper resistors, you shouldn't be getting CELs for the N112/N249 but you should get a CEL for SAI improper flow. You may have to incorporate a different resistor. Also, depending on what chip tuner you have, you can get them to code your ECU to not throw the SAI flow CEL...a friend of mine had APR do it. If you get proper resistors and modded software you should be nice and CEL free (assuming that's your goal).

i understand what your talking about murderface.. but the new NC system compares values to what is suppose to have stock.. so im not sure if it will look at it where its coded to not be installed and think its suppose to be there and just throw fail from the difference or not.. I know i had resisters in the wires when i took my N249 off and when they plugged it up it said the emission system failed but there was NO CODES PRESENT... i could of had a freak accident of something else throwing it but when i seen the paper say emission system failed and there was no codes.. i assumed it was just the N249 and the box.. so i went home and temp plugged them in and went back up there and the shop plugged it back in and it passed...
So my question is would it fail or not if the chip tuners write it out.. anyone know.. i know this is still new and im no longer in NC but just for the know of.. for everyone else..

I believe it just surpresses the codes to throw a cel. Doubt it will pass w/o the stuff reinstalled. If you have the parts, its only a couple plugs and vac connection. Should only take all of 10mins to install good enough to pass

good news, (if this guy i know ever loses his job, i'll use this information), but we and a friend cleared just the cel for the improper airflow, and thne i drove another 20-30 miles and went into my g/f's mothers friends shop (connections!). He completely forgot who vickie (g/f's mother) was and was very cautious of passing me with the 3.9% window tint andrew had on his car!!!??

but when he plugged it up to the computer (no cels were showing in the car), it actually all passed just fine!

40$ out the door, 5% extra for checking the tint even though completely illegal!

so... w/e system we used to delete that code somehow outsmarted the computer.

thread closed.
