Got my car back from the shop and I am stuck wondering what to do now. Mods so far: TIP, Unitronic Stage 1+, Devil's Own W/M, De resonated exhaust, and just bought a AEM Tru-boost controller. What else can I do power-wise that will not become ridiculously expensive per horsepower gained?
~Intercooler ($300)
~Downpipe ($500)
~Exhaust ($400)
Or something else? Trying to get a little more out of the K03s and liven up the car a bit more. Any thoughts? Full mod list below!
-Unitronic Stage 1+
-Forge Splitter D.V.
-HPA Haldex controller
-De-resonated exhaust
-V-Maxx coilovers
-HKS Intake
-Apex TIP
-Devil's Own Water/Meth Kit
-Hitachi bolt down coil-packs
-VDO boost gauge
-3M Tint
-Cupra R front lip
-Tinted Sidemarkers
-Painted/ Cleaned up headlights
-Flik Justice 18'' Wheels
-Falken ZE-912 Tires
-H&R 8mm Rear Spacers
-New grill/badge
-Interior LED bulb replacement
-Prothane Dogbone mount
-PCV re-engineered, new metal water pump, timing belt
Now some pics post accident!

Well everyone says the wheels are black now, and I like changing it up every once in a while!

Turbo back would be best along with a vagcom if you dont have one already so you can max out the timing which is where the real power is with a ko3
Also, welcome to the forum!! :)

Thanks Cincy, I like this place better than AudiForums!
As far as what to do first though, the 42DD downpipe is $500, a bit steep to me. I am looking to have one made locally, but that is still going to be very costly. Anything else I can do that is a bit more wallet friendly, or just save up for the DP?

You should hold off on painting them!!!

Muffler delete give a lil better flow. Could help throttle response and your chip performance. But it will make it louder.

A good exhaust shop should be able to make a 180q dp. It just needs to be a little more precise than a fwd one since the driveshaft is in the way, but it is a simple setup. If you want to spend money now, id get the vagcom (real) so you can max out the timing. If you have one, i would wait to get the dp made/purchase

I have UniSettings to mess with timing, etc. and VagCom that I can use, so I will look into the exhaust I guess. Can I have them lop of the downpipe and weld up to the original flange or should I buy a new flange. I am trying to maintain cost vs. benefit ratio in my favor... Also, I plan on trying to get about 300hp out of her eventually, just under new rod territory. Will any OEM turbo get me close or should I look at a hybrid bolt on turbo, or big turbo kit?

You will need a new flange. 42dd will sell you one that you can use. Then if you decide to go BT (which you will need for those numbers), you can just get a kinetic turbo kit which will keep that dp

You could also get your K04 upgraded to a 33lb/flow comp. wheel, use the bolt-on 42DD, and other 225TT stuff will also fit. Thing is, you have to use rods anyway b/c of the torque, but is is cheaper -> rods ($500) + turbo ($400 if you use your k04) + fueling (4bar - $30) + tweaked 225 Stg. 1+ program ($600+). Its a good $1600+ set-up, but it would be maxed at 300whp...I like the idea because of how easy/cheap it is, but I have a feeling it would end up getting swapped for a real BT eventually

Since most people cant install rods themselves, they will be looking at $1000 +/- for the install

One reason I wanted to stick with stock internals. Looking at the ATP GT28 kit as well for a nice bolt on kit.

i havent seen you since band camp!
my vote goes to a dp and exhaust. I was going to make one but decided to just buy one instead so spring i will have full exhaust  or maybe sooner if it warms up enough on a day i feel motivated

Cincy, how difficult is it to make a custom DP for
The 225? Is it possible? Or is it just difficult?

A good exhaust shop should be able to do it. Its going to take a few bends so it will still be somewhat expensive compared to a 180 and will need to be precise since there isnt much room between the tunnel and driveshaft.
