well after putting this off for some time i got a hair up my ass to make something to replace this pin in the hing on the golve box.... now i know that there are many diy's out there for this and some other problems with the glove box but this is how i did fixed mine..
now i dont have any pics of when i pulled the glove box out due to the cold weather that day and did not want to be out side! so ill just start with what i did the other day..
i went to ace the other day with my glove box to match some bar stock they have on the shelf, well after looking around 5/16 was the size that fit nice not too tight not lose.. now i got a 4' rod of this but you only need about 2" max..
now the size you should cut it to is 43mm and that will give the pin to be recessed on bolth sides..

now when get pin clean and ready to be used you need to put this pice back on the back of the glove box and get the pin to slide in place..

now i know some will tell me i should have used something else but it was free for me  and should work out well..

now the right stuff, i used this because it will hold the pin in place and should not have a fuss with temp change... now its just a gasket maker so if ever need to be, you can pull the (rubber gasket) off with a pick and push the pin through from the other side..
now all you need to do is dab some on your finger and place on and around the pin/hole over laping some and let dry for a day or two and you should be good to go..

reinstall and you now have a hinge pin that will never ever brake :D
