i keep getting im/pm's from people on a daily basis asking me how my build is going... yet its on the back burner due to lack of time.. but atleast once aday i get a message along the lines of your engine will not last like that or your moving to much stroke for that many revs... im wanting to know what is it that im really worried about.. i mean in nascar they run huge v8's at high rpms for hours on.. why couldn't a completely balanced I-4 not work... can someone step up and let me know why this build isn't going to last instead of just saying its not going to..

The longer the stroke, the less safe it is to rev higher. A 100mm stroke compared to an 86mm stroke is a rather large jump and really will limit the revs to 8k with an upgraded valve springs. If you want to rev high, you really should stick with a 92.8mm stroke that will leave you with a 2L. This wont really impact the revs as much if any. Plus, you will be needing a rather large turbo to make running a 2.2 above 8k worth it.
You may want to read up on what the evo guys do that want to rev high. Most go with a "destroked 2.1L". This a 2.4 4g64 block that is destroked down to 2.1L to give a much better rod/stroke ratio and allows them to run the gt4X turbos and rev to 11k making 900+ awhp. If you look at the honda guys, they run larger diam pistons (85-86mm) with only a 1.8L and easily rev to 8-9k w/o issues.

good info cincy... its just i hate how everyone just says the negative things and never backs them up with info on why...
I plan on using the VGT holset turbo still.. which is basicly the size of a 35r... but can spool much faster then a 28r... since i have 4 of them now.. 1 rebuilt professionally and 2 i rebuilt myself during a learning experience...
Ive sold 2 of the VGT's to other service military members with SRT-4's and they are running them no problem... so the rebuilds been ok...

Do they have the vgt hooked up?

yes.... they are running some new wastegate that is big on the SRT side of the house that senses gear voltage from the ECU and controls the amount of boost for those particular gears.. and hooking this up to the VGT slidevein and controling the exhuast ratio based on boost and gear... so in 1st gear they are running the housing slightly open off the line so they have FWD traction during spoolup and limit the amount it spools up so they are not pegging the redline with no traction out of the whole.. its more used for FWD cars so they can put like 70% power in 1st... then 85% in 2nd and then whatever % in the rest of the gears... so all in all it a 6 valve boost controler/wastegate... that reads off the ECU and MAP
