Heres some pictures of the engine bay holding a Garrett T3/T4E 50 Trim 48ar. And a couple of dyno videos as well. The dyno is a dyno dynamics and on this run I was running straight off the wg at 12.5psi; the car made 217fwhp. I later dynoed with a turboxs hpbc set at 15psi and made 230fwhp. Enjoy!

PICS FINALLY!!!
It looks great. Just need to get the psi up where the turbo is happy. Hows the boost with the auto?
just watched the vids, that HKS sounds great

thats sweet man, what file you using for tuning?

Mmm very nice!! Do you think you'll get closer to 300hp with tuning the boost? Or not possible?
Is that a red supra?!?

The 50trim doesnt wake up until 20psi.

I'm running the Unitronic 630cc BT file and I am very happy with it thus far! I need to rebuild my transmission before I turn the boost up where I want it to be, damn tiptronic:( but I will hopefully end up in the 330hp range possible more. Boost seems fine with the auto and it holds well through the gears. When the weather is good again I will get some nice videos of the car in action

So did you get all the bugs out of it now.... hopefully?

It really didn't take too long, my k03s blew back in August and the car was running in November. The longest part was researching and waiting for parts. And thanks for the exhaust comment Cincy, I am really happy with how it sounds!
edit: Yep all the bugs are taken care of...finally:w00t: And I plan to clean up the engine bay a bit with a new valve cover and possibly some carbon fiber

Is your car a 180 Quattro and is that a Kinetics Top Mount Kit? If so I have a ton of questions for you :thumbup1:

haha I had saved it on my computer some time ago and decided to use it, then I started thinking I had seen it on this forum before but couldn't remember who had it

It is a top mount Kinetic kit, but my car is a 180 fwd

Ok cool, I'm most likely gonna install the same setup on my 180 quattro.
How did you run the IC piping and how was the fitment of the 02 pipe to the stock downpipe location?
Im trying to figure out how I'm gonna do my IC piping and if the 02 pipe is gonna work with the quattro driveshaft. Thanks

A buddy of mine custom made the IC pipe for me. It goes down around the DP over to where the stock pancake pipe is located. The fitment is pretty good with everything but there are some vibrations when you come to a stop, but when in neutral its not bad at all.
edit: From what I understand the 02 pipe won't be able to work on a quattro, but you might be able to make a custom DP and get the 02 pipe to work, or maybe just a DP in place of the 02 pipe? Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

The connect to the dp is on the other side of the engine bay and well above the driveshaft.
You may want to wrap the dp so it doesnt heat soak the charge pipe and will quite them it they are making contack with each other.

Do you recommend wrapping any dp on a TT for that matter. If so, where can i get that stuff. Someone told me once before, but i cant remember at the moment

I feel like no big turbo wakes up until above 17... My brothers isnt fun until about 18 lol.
awesome setup though man, im jealous

It helps lower underhood temps but it can help promote rust on the pipe. No real feelings either way. In his case, i would since the charge pipe goes right next to the dp

All depends on the turbo size. The larger the turbo, the more psi you need to get to the main efficiency island. A gt35r is like mid 20's

Awesome car dood! I love the way that turbo looks shoved in there.
So, sorry for the nub question, but i have a 180 fwd as well and my throttle body is on the opposite side. Is it because of different year motors such as AWP?
Seriously, I'm coming from a nissan fwd sr20 crowd so i don't know shite about these cars really. I don't know what injectors i have or what ecu program is being run.

im a big fan on wrapping the exhaust.. it is really redundant after the first few feet but on my vette the vibration drone was horrific inside the car between 2k-3.5k... we bought a crap load on exhaust wrap off ebay.. about 150.00 worth and wrapped the pipe from the turbo's all the way back tell about a foot before the tips right as it goes over the rear axle.. You dont know how much nicer the sound was after.. before you couldn't talk at all during light acceleration cause the loud droning vibration.. and now you cant barely hear the exhaust from in the car tell you really get into it.. its about 20db's at least quieter now... and the car actually sounds a little more aggressive at the top end.. i was told from a few friends when they heard it before and after the wrapping...

To superspud: The intake manifold is a 225IM, it is part of the Forge FMIC kit.
I will see about heat wrapping the DP and maybe that will make a difference. The vibrations are not enough to bother me but it is noticeable at idle.
Thanks for all the comments guys! Hopefully the weather will be good enough and I can get those videos soon.

too bad the dsg only came in the 3.2L
non dsg tiptronics ftl, how do you plan to make yours stronger?
good luck with the build! i want to see bigger numbers outta that turbo.

Hey, random question...
With the 225 Intake Manifold did you have to use a 225 fuel rail and TB or does the stuff from the 180 mount up just fine? I know I'm gonna have to run some new boost/vacuum hoses but I'm trying to figure out if I need to buy anything else. Thanks

the mounting locations are the same, you will just have to undo the map from its harness so you can reach it over to the other side when you make the switch

I also had to rewire the fuel rail harness as well as some other things. Go here: http://forgemotorsport.com/content.asp?inc=media and click the link to the install instructions that says Audi TT 180 Front Mount Intercooler Kit, its toward the end of the list. Take a look at it and see what all is involved in swapping manifolds.
