Blah TL's. The New A4's, for what they offer and the price you get them at. You can not beat that. It is more sport then luxury but it still rides better then a cadi. And has more options. Shit our TT's have more options then a Cadi.

Dear God...Jaguars are the JACKPOT of used luxury car value these days. You can EASILY get a latest gen XJR (400+ hp supercharged V8) for <$35,000 or the NA V8 one for even less.

They're not too bad reliability wise either. It's the late 90's models you have to avoid, those weren't very good.

the downfall to jags is the maintenance, there aren't very many dealers and everything is so expensive to replace, way worse then audi's.

This is true, I know it first hand as I maintain the thing lol...while there's not much major stuff you have to do, this thing is probably going to need a timing chain/guide/tensioner job soon. Alldata estimate: 20 hours :scared:

And get this...the upper and lower intake manifold gaskets are little individual rings of rubber for each cylinder instead of like on our cars where they're just paper gasket type things. I had to order 6 upper and 6 lower because they have to be removed to do the timing chain. $11 EACH. Yes, spent $160 on intake manifold gaskets :cursing: Then the chain, tensioners and guides are another $300. Lord have mercy with the labor cost.

Some good ideas, I think i will try and steer him towrds the new A4, i really like. but also maybe the Lexus IS, Acura TL, infniti G35. Hes coming from a Sabb 9-5, and I think hes sick of the matinence. He has had several probelms with it. anyone think the 09 Nissan Maxima is any good? my cousin works for Nissan so he could get a killer deal on one. Do benz and BMW offer free matinence for some time on their new cars?

BMWs do. Dunno about benz. The new Maxipads do look really nice! If he can get a good deal on one I'd go for it!
But ya talk him into the A4! Maybe you could get him on Audifreaks.com!!!

meh, that reminds me of my friend, he totaled his 2000 Corolla and we went looking at several cars. He loved the MkV GTI but ended up going with a Yaris. I almost actually slapped him but I didn't have time to before I threw up LOL

i wouldnt compare it to a yarris by any means. we checked out the b7 a4's and decided that the interiors were way to cheap. its pretty quick i bet it would be faster than any stock tt. I tried to convince him to buy this sweet 2001 bmw M5. I got to test drive it and damn i know what im getting after my Tt hits the hay. It is the most comfortable thing i have ever sat in, and on top of that it is faster than hell/ pure Euro sexyness. only $21k... my dads not a fan of rwd/ manual though:confused1:
