I recently bought the Unitronic stage 2 software from Ray at RAI motorsports, Ray was great and answered all my questions I had, I was very happy with the customer service. I switched from MTM to Unitronic and so far have been pretty happy, the power curve seems to have moved up the rev range which is good and its a more consistant pull to redline. which is pretty impressive considering it only holds 12psi and the MTM held 17psi.

I bought a MBC so I can up the psi. a little because I know the ko3's have another good 5psi. in them, I'm excited to see how much faster that will make it.
*edit, MBC is in, car is holding 16psi. the motor feels like its going to jump out of the car lol feels amazing.
So all in all anyone considering software for their ko3 2.7 car, I would suggest the Unitronic if you want good power and reliability... GIAC may make the most powerful tune for the 2.7 but many people also blow their turbos within 10k miles with it lol.

also another thing to add, the car sounds a little different now too. which I imagine is the extra timing. I've read that Uni tunes use more timing rather than more boost to make power. very good thinking on Uni's part.

Stg2....you haven't seen nothing yet. Drive a stg3 S4, you won't know what to do with yourself. I did all the tuning myself when i had my B5 S4, and it was plenty fast for me at 15 psi. A friend of mine down the street was a mechanical engineer and of course had more money than me so he had the APR stg3 kit that i helped him install on his S4, all i can say is it was scary.
