So pissed...

I was driving from Oregon back to Utah on sunday when some idiot cut me off in the passing lane in the snow. I had to slam on my brakes and swerve over to avoid hitting him, only to lose control of the car and slide sideways off the freeway at 60 mph. He kept driving and i was stuck in 4 ft of snow on the side of the highway.

i literally had to roll down my window and climb out because there was so much snow. anyways, 3 hours later a tow truck pulls me back onto the road and my car is still drivable. my s4 front bumper was heavily damaged and my Rieger skirts (sides and back) were ripped off from the snow.

the good news is my insurance said they would pay for a $1000 of stuff even though its not covered on my policy. I didn't understand that part but am obviously ok with it. the good thing is my side skirts were fiberglass and now im getting everything abs plastic through lltek.com. im even gonna get better looking side skirts.

That sucks bad. Atleast it was just body work and nothing major. Sounds like you have Progressive, they did the same thing when i totaled my turbo lancer

That works. Fiberglass panels suck ass. They probably still would of cracked, but not as bad if they were abs. I had a fiberglass front on my Lancer and it was the worst thing ever

As for insurance, i know progressive gives a $1k coverage for aftermarket stuff, but above that your SOL if something happens unless you tell them, which will obviously increase your coverage. In my case i was out a good deal since i put the fmic into the rad that went into the turbo and distroyed the turbo (gt28r), manifold, and dp.

oh no, that does totally suck. so if i got a $1000 to replace my body kit, i know it will cover the sides and back skirt, but do u think they would let me pay the difference for an RS4 Rieger bumper instead of putting an S4 one back on?
