how does the 2.0 stack up?

hows this engine doing aftermarket performance wise?

do the stock rods handle more/less than the 1.8?

is going BT easier/harder?

Did you look on the 2.0T forum? There is a ****ton of info lol

AFAIK, the major problem the 2.0T has is the PCV system (especially the early ones) where it basically disintegrates. Oil consumption is another big problem, and I have heard of various other smaller stuff (intake cracking, DSG weirdness, DI issues); some of it is based on break-in/driving, some of it is just good ol' VW engineering ;)

I know a few guys that have the new 2.0T GTI and I think that it deffinatly has the potential to be better than the 1.8T.

APR stage III car running mid 11's = holy shit!

I don't know if it's the added displacement or something else but the 2.0T cars make mad power. I saw a video yesterday (can't find it though) of a K03 MkV running a 13.2...pushing 280whp apparently.
