Of course........doing the headlights

Alright guys and gals, as we all know changing around the headlights on our cars(and by that i mean doing away with the amber reflector and signals) is a big thing. For me, I'm freaked out about removing my front bumper, let alone heating up the headlight to break the silicon/seal material. I know some guy on here with a Silver TT has a whole HOW TO thing on this but i forgot where it was.

Another question is, what kind of paint it good for the headlights. I wanted to repaint mine silver instead of the flat black they are right now. Id like to have a paint that wont mess up in high heat or direct sunlight. Sometimes my projector lenses send a beam of sunlight on the matting and kinda melt it away. Not too noticeable, but i like them to look perfect. Is powder coating and option here( if so, whats the factory color for the S-line matting on the headlights). Id love to get them down to the exact color.

powder coating isnt an option the housings are plastic. If you wanted an exact color match you could get the paint code of your car and take it somewhere that mixes paint. You dont need hightemp paint if have done this twice on my past car and i used dupli color low gloss black. It turned out fine. As far as the bumper there are a lot of DIY to remove it is supposed to be very easy.

Well since my car is black, i didnt know how well silver headlamps would look. I'd deffinatly do it if my car was silver, but im afraid ill do it and it looks like crap. What do you think about black w/silver headlight housings(also reflector delete and smoke turn signal??

i think it would look stupid. but it isnt my car lol

I agree.. Once you replace the reflecters, you will appriciate the black housing. especially on a black car.

Give silver a try. The worst that will happen is u have to sand it down. But yes It would look like poopy
