People are putting twin turbo LS7 (latest vette engines) with 1000+ BHP in these cars. Some guy (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZAoT427ft1A) got the fastest unofficial "Top Gear" track time
Check out the price list HERE (http://www.ultimasports.co.uk/usa/formgtr.pdf) You can build it yourself - Their Site (http://www.ultimasports.co.uk/usa/)
If I had money, but not enough for a super car, I would give this a look! Looking at the price list at first glance, it would seem you can get everything but the drive train for $28K

That's a kit car right?! You can build a super car (kit) for under 30grand that makes 800+ hp. There's so many options out there. Just the time and spare money to do it

It's a kit car, and a fugly one at that. Not a true supercar IMO

Yeah I gotta admit, it's not a looker, and not a "true" super car - but it would be bad ass to own :)

I like it! In my eyes a hand built car is a super car.and that's kinda what they base a super car. How much is built by man. Even a Rolls Royce is considered a super car

Tell ya what, I saw one of these in action in Syracuse a few years ago. It was running a stroker 383 with a cam. The curb weight is insanely low, on the order of 2200lbs or so as it sat. With that engine, and that curb weight, the power to weight ratio is flat out scary. When he left the lot, he pulled onto Erie Blvd, nailed it, and was fawking GONE.
As you guys said, it's not pretty, but in person it has serious road presence. And you cannot believe how low it is - not just ground clearance, but fender height, roof height, etc. Granted I'm 6'4", but the roof didn't even reach my coin purse. Add in a terrifying soundtrack from the engine and the unholy speed when you uncork it for real, and I'd put it up against most "supercars" out there, both in terms of road presence and performance.

i think they are hot. There is a guy local to here that has one and he brings it to car shows. His has a 350 in it too. I would drive one black on black with out the spoiler. It would be a neat grocery getter hahaha

I like it. Since its a "kit car," it doesnt follow other car regs so you can get away with crash safety and emissions.
As for the spoiler, dont think it would be to wise to drive w/o one, just remember the TT recall

That car in black is soooo much sexier.

No the GTM supercar! The 65 coupe is cool but NOT a super car.

Man that'd be nice, but you have to supply the transmission it doesn't come with it...a Porsche G50 (from the 993) with an LSD (probably be pretty useless without one) runs around $5000 USED
