So, really, which should I get? I'm going to have two gauges, one being boost. I've heard its good to have a temp so you know when to boost, but then oil pressure is more important and can warn of problems. I'm thinking pressure b/c I can just be patient and let my car warm up...

On both of my old 1.8T MK4s I had a boost gauge and an oil pressure gauge. One thing I noticed in both cars is that with vag com and common sense I was able to figure out using the oil pressure gauge when the oil temp was up high enough to boost. At cold start and until fully warmed up your oil pressure will read higher, as the car reaches normal operating temp it will settle down to normal levels. The only thing I couldn't tell was when the oil temps were low enough to turn the car off without fear of hurting my "oil cooled only" turbo.
So, with that in mind on my TT I'll most likely end up with all three gauges when I go BT. I can sacrafice the look of a Supra dual A-Pillar gauge pod for the functionality of both Oil Temp and Pressure. All I have to do now is decide whether to sacrafice a vent for the boost gauge or modify a mk4 steering column gauge pod...

i wouldnt even waste my money on an oil temp. As said pressure would be the first sign of a real problem and you already have water temp, Which wont be much different than oil.

my S4 has a oil temp gauge stock, which is really nice to have so you can see when its safe to get on the throttle hard. but oil pressure is nice to know too
