Lightbulb audi a4 b5 1.8 turbo quattro sport (180bhp limited edition) year 2000

thinking of changing from a4 b5 1.8 20v (125hp) (with 100,000 miles) year 1997 and buying a audi a4 b5 1.8 turbo quattro sport (180bhp limited edition with 81,000 miles) year 2000, is this a good move and are these a good car with performance as i no my 125bhp has good acceleration and is a good smooth drive but handling is poor, could someone point me in the right direction, am a mechanic so not to bothered about common faults/problems as long as they aren't to costly (parts wise) as i will do them myself !!

cheers

As long as the previous owner used the larger oil filter with synthetic oil there shouldnt be anything out of the ordinary with the car. Just keep in mind that the car should of had the timing belt changed already (if not, do it now) and due to its age, need most rubber parts replaced (bushings, vacuum lines, etc).
