Default Frosty's "single" 1990 CQ

This is my 1990 audi Coupe Quattro. I bought it back at the end of March. So I haven't had it long but I love it almost as much as the TT.

This car will be a beast someday as most all of you would love to see. But for now it's just my daily driver until the TT is to where i want it.

Car has 227k on it, picked it up with 223k i believe.

It was completely stock when i got it, no modifications, stock exhaust even (such a shame to muffle such sexy goodness!)

Things I've done so far is...
1) picked up a parts car for it
2) cleaned up the MAF and painted it
3) home made intake and heat shield
4) played with the fuel lines a little (leak)
5) 034 injector upgrade
6) painted valve cover and intake manifold
7) deleted cruise control crap... kinda
8) clear corner lights

PIC WHORE TIME!

How I bought it, had a set of ASA's on it, i took them off to repair a bent rim and paint them gunmetal (not yet done)

the un touched engine bay.

After i installed the air intake and cleaned the MAF

Took off the parts cars intake manifold and valve cover and painted them to what i wanted. (sexy red pearl color in the light)

i also took off the heat shield to show off the awesome bag o snakes headers (I'm going to take the parts cars headers and exhaust wrap them in black and install them later on to help with looks and the engine inhaling heat)

the exhaust that i have for it that i need to repair before install

temporary speakers that work well for parties.

and the houses garage (the TT is in another 2 car garage with much less tools... for now)

the engine bay project...

done.

as the car sits now on it's daily wheels (nicer wheels have a dent in one of them)

goal....
these looks in black

with this cars fenders and 1/4 mile times (low 10's)... i might wanna go 9's like aaron someday.

it's needed some work. and it still has some issues... like no speedo or cruise... or a/c... and it goes into limp mode under full throttle... so it's not the best daily. But i do love it.

did my headlight upgrade

relayed the headlights to directly off the battery, and also wired them so the lowbeams stay on when the highbeams come on.
making sure they all work

but after i installed them i had this problem

so i went and found this

and cut it down and painted it to this...

first autox

it's first parking deck photo!

also installed the thule roof rack, and am in the process of installing the black suede headliner i wrapped and vinyl pillars... and dyeing the interior plastic/leather black.

should be a good project

i tried tackling the fog lights today and failed...

also found out they're the wrong temperature bulbs... guess i'll just buy some 3000k bulbs so that they actually perform like fog lights should. right now i think they're 6-8000k

i cracked the passenger side foglight when trying to sand it down (too much heat), and also i can't get the wiring good enough apparently so that the ballasts get enough power to light up all the time. idk if i fried the passenger side one or what but now i can't get it to light up.

guess i'm relaying my foglights too. at least i have a nice ground wire connection. we ground webbed the fenders.
