They MUST be closed at idle. A pair of forge 004 or HKS SSQV would be the best options

Default a6 2.7 blow off valves

the springs in the blow off valves are allot stiffer than stock. there the yellow ones but when im boosting and let of the gas real fast the rpms drop bellow 700 and then go back up to idle. the car runs ruff right after the valves pop off and goes back to normal. do u thinks real stiff springs would hurt the turbos

Green spring should be better.

Green springs leak boost but the yellow ones seem to be working the best but it still seems like it needs stiffer springs but I wanna now if going any stiffer than yellow will hurt my turbos

You want the softest possible to hold the psi. If you can get the green and a shim or 2 to work, it would be softer and react faster. If you go to stiff, you wont vent enough air and cause compressor surge

chips are good upgrades. The turbos can take it. Check the S4 section, some good info posted in there by vwdriver03
