Default New to Audi. 01 TT

Hey guys,

I picked up an 01 TT 225 roadster a few weeks ago, and was directed over here from audiforums. Looks like this is definitely the go-to spot for other Audi owners, so I'm glad to be a part of the community now.

This TT is my first Audi-- after having owned 4 Mustangs I needed a change. Having a drop top and something that can actually drive in the rain (and turn) has definitely provided that.

I'm sure I'll have a ton of newb questions, but I'll start off with an easy one: I've noticed that there seem to be a lot of replica wheels available for the A4, A6, and A8; but most of the sites don't have them listed as compatible with the TT. Does the TT have a different bolt pattern?

Specifically, I am looking at

These RS4 Wheels: http://www.finishlinewheels.com/spec...18x8%29+Black/

and

These S5 Wheels: http://www.finishlinewheels.com/spec...t+Wheels+18x8/

Since my car did not come with the factory TT wheels, I figured I might as well get some nice Audi rims to go on it. Thanks for your help.

A4 and the like use 5x112 where the Jetta/GTI/TT all use 5x100. They do make them, you just have to find them.

Hmm...seems like I might want to look into some wheel spacers. Although I don't like that idea too much.

People wanting the flush look usually end up with something in the 10mm range up front and 20-30mm in the rear. ecstuning.com sells proper spacers and bolts but it just sucks dropping another $100 on parts for wheels.

That site is great. Will 18"s fit without rubbing issues, or is it better just to stick with the 17"s on these cars?

Thanks again for the advice.

you can fit 19's. Just make sure you keep the over height the same so the mph stays the same and you wont have any issues with rubbing. There is a couple links near the end of the TT sections FAQ
