Default New BIG setup coming together

Just scored a barely used .63 gt3582r (gt35/40, gt35r) with the nicer GT turbine housing. Still collecting parts and I will add them as they come. So far i have:

Manifold
35r
AWP wiring harness

This is all going in my lightened FWD 2000 TT (~2800lbs now) with:

2008cc motor with 10.16:1 compression
- scat rods
- 83mm wiseco pistons
- AEG crank

I will update this thread as the parts come in. Im in no real hurry so it should be a few months before im ready for install.

For anyone that cares, here is the compressor map with a 1.8t and 2.0 mapped out on them

1.8T

2.0T

Depends on what ecu i can find when i have the money for it. Plan on buying a used ecu since im swapping to an AWP (want a wbo2 and mafless file). If i get the 870cc file ill probably getting w/m and no e85 since i would run out of inj before 500whp. Im hoping to score a 1k tapp or 1200cc uni file and run e85 when i want. Have seen a used tapp ecu on vortex that has a race file that i can tweak, but i just drop the money on the turbo and dont have the funds for the ecu now. Its been there for some time so if its still there ill pick it up

cincy, you'll see faster response with the turbo with higher compression right?
you'll see less overall hp though from the displacement being higher also, what #'s are you expecting?

teach us the methods of your madness haha.
higher compression will give more power with and w/o psi. I cant run as much psi on pump gas, but i will me making more power on less psi. Also, it will help spool the turbo up faster along with the extra displacement. The extra displacement will also mean more power on less psi. I plan on running it on stock head and intake manifold with about 1bar to start. That should be somewhere in the mid 300's. After i upgrade a few parts, ill increase the psi and expect over 400whp on pump and stock head/intake man. When all said and done, i would love to see over 550whp on e85 or pump + meth

Not really sure i would by that.

thats a waste. If i cant deal with the wheel spin, ill either trade up to a 180q or an B6 A4 and swap in my engine and turbo

e85 is available here and i have the injector for it so i was planning to give it a shot machine shop is super backed up though so engine rebuild is going to take longer then i want

might be worth the extra money for a good ebc in your case to help limit wheelspin rpm based psi setting ftw

Spent about 2 hours looking for a good solution. I really want a apexi avc-r but those are over $400. Im trying to think of a way to rig up a selonid to swap settings between 1-3 and 4-5. Problem im having is once it moves to the high with the shifter, how can i move it back to low if i drop down to 2nd and not 1 or 3rd? HHHMMMmmmm

You dont think 2" piping and a crappy core will work?

Probably have some pipes made up with a large treadstone or PTE core

oil lines and hardware. Will also need to upgrade the IC, clutch, and find some better form of boost control, but those can be done laterish

I can use a boostvalve.com style controller (or any switchable system), but i really want to have 1-3 low and 4-5 high and be able to go back to low by putting it back in 1-3 which seems to be the roadblock as of now.
Anything you can think of, let me know

You could use a speed-based boost controller, like under 15mph you run 8psi, 15-30 15, 30+ 21psi (or whatever). There has to be some progressive window switch available, and you could tie it into the signal from the cluster harness...

- The next major goal is a built suspension, I have some of the parts for a fancy engine but my stock 90k suspension is, how you say, ein stück scheiße?
